Cheers!
Ok, so I hope this doesn't get tedius (there may be a lot of these) but I figure if I post progress updates when I finish a round of updates on a chapter, maybe it'll encourage me to keep making progress? In that spirit, I can announce that I finished a round of edits on chapter 3! Word by word, line by line, gonna make this story shine...
Cheers!

Quick editing update on draft 2 of Daydreamers: I've gone through two rounds of edits on Chapter 1 (though one scene in it is still giving me trouble and need rewriting--I may need to come back to it later) and I just finished one round of editing on Chapter 2. Another thank you is in order to everyone who's given me comments so far--I couldn't have made this much progress without your help. Hugs for all!
Taking the year off definitely helped me get some perspective and let go of some things that were there just because they always had been. On of my readers is right that I'll probably need to make an extensive glossary for all the cool world details I don't have room for, though... Slowly but surely, onwards we go! Cheers! So, remember that monster-long fantasy novel I finished a draft of and sent off to beta readers last fall and didn't let myself look at for a year while they commented on it?
Well, that year is up. Which means it's time to start collecting comments and getting down to the business of *gulp* editing round 2! It's a daunting task but I'm excited to get back to the characters--I've missed those guys. And I'm really interested to hear what people thought. I'll see how the pace of editing ends up going and try to get a schedule or at least a routine. I might keep updating here throughout that to keep myself on whatever plan I decide on. Wish me well! I'm going to need it… Hello, beastie. Welcome back. Onwards! Hey all! Been a while. So long in fact that I have a new completed comic book to share! All of the pages are posted on my deviantart site, so feel free to check it out! Not much to update with Daydreamers still being afloat in betareader waters. Time's almost up, though and I'm excited to get back to it! I miss those guys already. As I drew only a week after sending the manuscript off (and meant to post here months ago...): 'Nyways, just a quick update. Ta ta for now!
Cheers! Here it goes, the Big Announcement I keep foreshadowing:
I've done it. I've finished editing. But the editing isn't finished. Oh, no, far from. But I've done all I can do for the moment, so it's time to step back. How will the editing continue if I'm not there, you ask? Because it's... (Drumroll, please) Beta reader tiiiiiime! So what does this mean? It means several wonderful people have consented to take on the rather monumental task of tackling my manuscript and telling me if it's any good (hopefully they'll be more specific than that ;) ). It's a really huge step, and very strange, and a bit nerve-wracking. I've been working on this thing since, oh... (*Goes back through my files to the first ideas file created for this project...*) 2005?! Seriously? And I'm pretty sure I was playing with the ideas even before then. Wow. Anyway, it's been a loooong time coming. I've gotten really useful feedback along the way, but this is the first time other people get to see the whole of this insane thing I've been working on. The process is by no means over--in fact there will be much more to come--but this is a major landmark. I'm both excited and nervous to see if any of the ideas I was trying to convey managed to translate. Anyway, a huge shout-out and thank you goes to my amazing beta readers (and a big 'good luck' and an apology in advance--like I've said before, 'long' is a bit of an understatement...). Let's have a round of applause for them! *Clap*Clap*Clap*Clap*Clap* ... ... ... ... Now what do I do with myself? In order to get some distance, I'm forbidding myself to look at the story for a year, which will be tricky, to say the least. What will I do in the meantime? Well, there are a few other projects I've been playing around with... for instance, there's this girl named Patience who won't leave me alone... and another teenager called BlueJay who's insisting I get back to her story... and then, who knows? I actually may have time now for (*gasp*) New Projects! But first, I think I need a cuppa tea. And about a week's rest. If you couldn't guess by the title of this post, I've finished putting in tentative chapter breaks (and titles!) for part 3! Which means that the whole book now has chapters! They may get shifted around later or renamed, but at least they exist.
