Good news! An interactive internet picture book I've been working on with CAST (the Center for Applied Special Technologies) is finally finished!
CAST "is an educational research & development organization that works to expand learning opportunities for all individuals through Universal Design for Learning." Universal Design for Learning (UDL) means designing teaching curriculums with different learning styles in mind.
To illustrate that point, I worked with the company to make this book. It's a retelling of the story of the Tortoise and the Hare though a UDL point of view. They told me the initial idea, and I wrote some drafts of storyboards and scripts, which they commented on, until we had one we liked. I then did the illustrations and recorded the text and helped them program the agents and put everything into their Book Builder site.
